A Shell In Thyme

It all began for my love of the ocean: collecting shells and designing them into a work of art. My inspiration has always been a love for all things handmade. The craftsmanship of artists of all different forms of mediums has brought me to a whole new level with my creative work.

Originally from Long Island, New York and now living in the Carolinas definitely evolved my creative style. When I was young, I recall going to Sunken Meadow with my mother and her friends most of the day playing and living a salty life.

Along the way, I've collected sea shells from Shinnecock Bay, NY, Westhampton Beach, NY, Smith Point Beach, NY, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, St. Augustine Beach, Florida, Boynton Beach, Florida Topsail, North Carolina, Carolina Beach and Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.

All of my life, I've worked and lived near the sea. I've always been a shell collector and find my self creating window chimes and book thongs that I now call a Shell in Thyme.

I find beading to be very therapeutic and I use my collected shells as part of my creative endeavors. As I bead, the creative process has led me to use beading in many different ways and I am excited to see where this journey takes me.

My creative work is influenced by my love for God and the beautiful surroundings of nature and the ocean. I am an intuitive artist and writer living and working in Wilmington, North Carolina.
